Our Soceity “The Numismatic and Philatelic Society of Visakhapatnam”(TNPS of VSP) has come into existence on 02-12-1990 with the guiding spirit of the Vizianagram Numismatic and philatelic Society. With a view to promote the hobby of philatelic an Numismatic among the members of the society , as well as for serving the students and young and amateur in and around Visakhapatnam. The Society initially started  with 11 members .The society is registered on 29-1-1991 .With the help and support of the Charter members and owning to selfless service and various activities of the society more and more people have come into the fold of the society to strengthen our hands in the service of the Philatelic and Numismatic . This resulted a raise 118 life Membership like Doctors, Engineers, retired employees, Business men, Stamps and coins dealers and students from different of the country of the age groups ranging from 17 to 70.

Since the  Established of the society ,We have conducted number of exhibitions and workshops in schools, Colleges and other places in and around Vishakhapatnam with the help and associations of the department of the posts and various service organisations like junior Chamber, rotary ,Lions Club etc., and also on our own. Prof. C. Somasundara Rao, Prof E.V.Gangadharam,Prof.A.Prasanna kumar of Andhra university Sri D.VSubba rao, Ex-manager& Chairman ,bar council of India, Sri Sabbam Hari  ,Ex-Mayor of VSP, Sri S.G.K.Kishore I.A.S. ,VC, Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority, Sri R.S. Nataraja Murthy, PIS, Post master general and Sri M.R.K.Murthy  renowned Philatelic were among some of the Distinguished guest of honour for various Exhibitions and activities taken up by us.
To the credits of our society after formation, some of our members have got medals in State, National and international Exhibitions in Philately and Numismatic Exhibitions.
